Just watched The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, a brilliant character study of two sociopaths. (If you need movies with explosions and car chases, this ain't the movie for you - as is evident from the comments on IMDB.)
So the credits roll, and it turns out the soundtrack is by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
It wouldn't be the first time that comic book writers have delved into music, but it was not the second time. Apparently, Australia has produced its own Warren Ellis (the conspiracy theorists will surely have something to say about this), and sent him off to play music with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
I believe it is only a matter of time before other Warren Ellises are discovered - African and American and Asian. Perhaps even an Antarctic Warren Ellis, star-shaped and frozen in the ancient ice.
