Subject: Amazon.com recommends Blood and Iron: A Novel of the Promethean Age

Which is good, because if it's half as good as Carnivale it's certainly worth reading. Was the reason they recommended it that has me confused. See, they recommended it because I purchased Threshold.

And while the only of Ms Bear's work that I've read so far is Carnivale (Blood and Iron is on the short to-read stack, not the long if-the-short-stack-ever-runs-out stack), I'm thinking that there's a huge leap in style between Ms. Bear and Ms. Kiernan.

So I'm a little curious what the math looked like that generated this recommendation.
