i heard something on the radio a few days back, in a discussion about iran, what they are doing, and their stance regarding uranium enrichment. iran is very patient, the commentator said. it is playing a game of chess. they have lots of pieces on the ground, and lots of moves they can make. every move is strategic, even if the purpose is not immediately obvious. the US, in contrast, is playing poker. there's lots of bluffing, but in the end, there's only two moves - play the hand or fold, attack or don't attack.
